DTLA Arts District

The Downtown Los Angeles Arts District is an expanding mecca of risk-takers and forward-thinkers pushing the boundaries of their crafts, like our neighbors at Warner Music, Bestia, SoHo House, Spotify, and Pizzanista in the 7th & Santa Fe mix. In addition to artists, designers, chefs, photographers, and the SciArc school of architecture, LemonTree is next door to Downtown Rehearsal, which brings hundreds of fellow musicians daily.

These are professional studios - expertly built and acoustically treated for optimal acoustic performance.

LemonTree Studios has been the ideal foundation for building and scaling our recording and production operation at Perception Records. As a boutique independent record label, we prioritize delivering high-quality creative work at every stage of the process, from songwriting and recording through content strategy and release rollout. LemonTree provides not only the technical infrastructure required to craft exceptional recordings, but also the flexibility to grow alongside our evolving business model.

For the past two years, the LemonTree Highland Park location has served as the core of our recording and production workflow. It allowed us to develop records at a high level, host sessions consistently, and establish a professional home base for our artists and collaborators. That space played a critical role in shaping our sound and refining our operational systems.

When the opportunity arose to expand into the DTLA location, it marked a major step forward in our growth. The new facility gives us a fully realized commercial recording environment, including a dedicated control room, live room, machine room, and an additional B-room production suite that functions as a video editing suite and creative lounge. With this expansion, we are now able to centralize not only our writing and recording, but also our media production, visual content creation, and post-production under one roof.

LemonTree has not simply provided studio space. It has supported the evolution of our company, allowing us to scale from a focused recording operation into a fully integrated creative hub while maintaining the quality and creative integrity that define Perception Records.
